With your permission, Noor Salati uses foreground device location to calculate prayer times, determine Qibla direction, and detect your city or country. The app may use precise or approximate location depending on the permission you grant and your device settings.
Location access is optional and user-controlled. You can deny location permission and choose your city manually instead. Noor Salati does not request or use background location.
When you search for a city manually, the city search text may be sent to Open-Meteo Geocoding to find matching city results. Open-Meteo is used only to help you select a city for prayer times.
Noor Salati uses local notifications to provide prayer and Adhan reminders on your device. Notification delivery and timing may depend on your device settings, notification permissions, and operating system behavior. You can manage notification permissions from your device settings.
Noor Salati stores app settings and preferences locally on your device. This may include selected city or location coordinates, prayer calculation settings, notification preferences, onboarding status, language and theme preferences, Adhkar progress, and Tasbih progress.
Noor Salati may also store Qur’an reading progress, bookmarks, selected reciter, downloaded audio files, and related preferences locally on your device so that these features can work smoothly and, where supported, offline.
When Qur’an audio is played or downloaded, the app may request audio files from the selected online source. These requests are used to provide playback or offline downloads and are not used by Noor Salati to create an account profile.
